Do you have Neuropathic Pain related to Diabetes?

Learn about a new investigational medication to potentially treat Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP) symptoms.

About the study

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP) disrupts daily life, and this clinical trial aims to test a potential solution for managing nerve pain in individuals with chronic DPNP from type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

The research study involves taking an investigational, non-opioid oral medication daily for about 16 weeks. Participants will undergo medical exams, ECGs, surveys, lab work, and assessments by medical investigators. There is no cost to participate, and compensation may be provided for transportation and time..

If you have diabetes and suffer from nerve damage that affects your legs and feet, you may be experiencing Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP). Neuropathy (or nerve damage) is the most common complication affecting thousands of Americans living with diabetes every year.

DPNP is deteriorating the quality of life of those with uncontrolled or long-standing high blood sugar levels that are not properly treated. The pain symptoms range from pricking, tingling, pins and needles, electric or shooting, hot or burning, numbness, itching, or sensitivity to touch in your legs and/or feet.

If you experience nerve pain and complications related to DPNP, you may be eligible to participate in a research study conducted at select centers across the U.S. If you meet the criteria and choose to participate, you will receive free study-related care, such as physical exams, laboratory tests, and ECGs.
