Learn about a new investigational medication to potentially treat Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP) symptoms.
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP) can cause disruption to daily life and interfere with one’s ability to work, travel and enjoy life. This clinical trial aims to provide a potential solution in reducing nerve pain symptoms related to your diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
If you have been struggling with diabetes type 1 or type 2 with chronic DPNP for at least 6 months and would like to have access to a medication that could potentially control your nerve pain symptoms, this study may be right for you.
If you have diabetes and suffer from nerve damage that affects your legs and feet, you may be experiencing Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain (DPNP). Neuropathy (or nerve damage) is the most common complication affecting thousands of Americans living with diabetes every year.
DPNP is deteriorating the quality of life of those with uncontrolled or long-standing high blood sugar levels that are not properly treated. The pain symptoms range from pricking, tingling, pins and needles, electric or shooting, hot or burning, numbness, itching, or sensitivity to touch in your legs and/or feet.
If you experience nerve pain and complications related to DPNP, you may be eligible to participate in a research study conducted at select centers across the U.S. If you meet the criteria and choose to participate, you will receive free study-related care, such as physical exams, laboratory tests, and ECGs.
